Sensex rises 143 points, Nifty near 10,500, RIL, SBI, ICICI Bank top gainers

Sensex rises 143 points, Nifty near 10,500, RIL, SBI: India’s share markets extended gains to open higher on Wednesday on positive global cues, with Sensex & Nifty inching up by 0.3 percent.

The BSE Sensex was trading 143 points at a high of 33,955.21 and NSE Nifty added 51.65 points to mark the day’s high at 10,493.85. Shares of Reliance Industries, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI, Yes Bank, HUL, Tata Steel were the major gainers among the Sensex stocks while Infosys, Dr Reddy’s, HDFC Bank, ONGC, Asian Paints, Tata Motors slipped upto 2 percent. 

The heavyweight stocks such as Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, TCS, ITC, SBI, Larsen and Toubro contributed the most to the Sensex gains. Metal stocks continued to keep up momentum on the back of rising global commodity prices. The Nifty Metal index advanced 0.8 percent in early trade, led by over 1 percent rise in shares of Vedanta Limited and Tata Steel Limited.

The Stock Market Tips rallied in the week ended Friday,22 Dec, on the back of BJP winning effect in Gujarat and HP together with strong global markets The Sensex opened the week at 33,364 and made a peak of 33,964 & a low of 32,595 closing the week at 33, 940. Thus it closed with the weekly gain of 478 points on the other hand, the Nifty opened the week at 10,263 & made a peak of 10,501, reached the bottom of 10,074 and closed the week at 10,493. Thus the Nifty closed with the weekly gain of 160 points. 

Key Stock movements during the Week: Moving on the key stocks, ICICI Bank spurted 4.27% at Rs 316.40. The bank’s subsidiary ICICI Securities has filed a DRHP with Sebi for an IPO of up to 6.44 cr equity shares. 

HDFC Bank was up 0.23% at Rs 1,877.35 after banks said for raising of funds up to Rs 24,000 crore, while IndusInd Bank dropped 1.85% at Rs 1,648.85 on bank’s amalgamation of Bharat Financial Inclusion. 

Wipro rose 3.9% at Rs 301.10 on its announcement of partnership with Headspin. Stocks of Bharti Airtel rose 2.33% at Rs 531.05 on its entering into a pact with Millicom Cellular, while Hero MotoCorp surged 7.72% at Rs 3,772.20. 

Dr Reddy’s fell 1.64% at Rs 2,333.05. Coal India was down 1.86% at Rs 266. The HDFC was down 0.84% at Rs 1,708.35 on its approval of raising funds by issuing equity shares of Rs 13000 crore.

Sensex Nifty Gain, Index trend and Stock in Action on Wednesday:

Sensex and Nifty take cues from the positive US markets to trade on a positive note with BSE Sensex trading at 33,402 levels, up by 32 points while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,357 levels, up by 7 points at 10.40 am on Wednesday. Pharma Sector gains strong footing with positive Q2 earnings from many companies. IT stocks trading higher with TCS, Wipro Ltd, Infosys Ltd, Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies in the morning hours. 

Quarterly Results:- Voltas Ltd, Ashok Leyland, Arvind Ltd, United Bank Limited, OBC, Bharat Forge, Petronet LNG, Balkrishna Industries, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals, IRB Infra, NDTV, Muthoot Finance and Thermax are scheduled to release their quarterly earnings for the Sept quarter on Wednesday. 

Stock in Actions:- AkzoNobel India has said it will sell its specialty chemicals biz as a going concern to an affiliate of the AkzoNobel Group-NV Netharlands for Rs 320 crore. Larsen & Toubro (L&T): Schneider Electric SE, the French industrial multinational together with its consortium partner Temasek, has in business with L&T to acquire its electric and automation division for Rs 15,000-Rs 17,000 cr. Glaxo Smith Kline has reported 4.73% rise in net profit at Rs.192.41 cr for the Q2 ended Sept 30, 2017-18. 

The company had posted net profit of Rs .183.72 cr in the same period of previous year. Reliance Communications is re-negotiating its deal with Canadian investment fund Brookfield along with other prospective buyers for a stake in its tower unit.

Sensex, Nifty Opens in Green; Banking Stocks leads the Trend


Stock markets in India have opened Friday on a positive note. The BSE Sensex is trading higher by 66.30 points at 33,213.44 while the NSE Nifty is trading higher by 3.30 points at 10.347.10 at 10.40 am today. Except banking stocks, all sectoral indices have opened the day positively with metal sector and consumer durables leading the pack of gainers. 

The rupee is trading at 64.79 to the US Dollar. Bank stocks have opened on a mixed note with Indusind Bank and South Indian Bank being the most active stocks in banking sector. Yes Bank reported a 25% growth in net profit for the Q2 ended Sept 2017 mainly due to a fast growth in advances and a rise in fee income. 

Cipla’s U.S. unit gets final FDA nod for generic Renvela tablets with Stock advances over 1 percent, while Sugar company stocks open strong. Dwarikesh Sugar, Dharani Sugar, Dwarikesh Sugar rises 4 percent each.

03 Aug Sensex, Nifty open Lower, Stock Option Trading Tips

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on lower note on Thursday morning hours against the closing of previous session. At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading lower by 160.69 points, or 0.49%, to 32,316.05, while the Nifty-50 falls 46.85 points, or 0.46%, to 10,034.65 Asian rupees were trading on lower note. Bond yields and its prices move in reverse mode. The Indian rupee was opened high versus the US dollar. 

The shares of TCS, Lupin and Cipla rose, while the shares of Kotak Bank and Asian Paint declined. There are about 70 companies scheduled to announce their quarterly earnings today which includes Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), PNB Housing, Jindal Saw, Ramco Cements, Titan and VIP Industries.

In morning The Nifty opened 0.44 percent high at 10,010.55. BSE Sensex also hits a record high over 100 points at 32,374.3. Today major gainer in the shares of blue chip companies Bharti Airtel, HDFC bank, Housing Finance, ICICI bank helped the indices to touch a new levels in ealry trade.

13 July Live Market- Sensex hits 32000 frist time, Nifty above 9850

The Equity benchamark Sensex hits a fresh 32,000 for the frist time and The Nifty hits a touch a new levels of 9,879 today. The stocks IT index TCS was trading 0.65 percent higher ahead of earning today. All the Indices led by FMCG, capital goods, metal, banking and auto were trading in positive note with gain up to 1.06 percent. 

Live Market- The 30-share Sensex trading up 253.83 points or 0.74 percent at 32040.65, while the 50-share Nifty index trading gain 68.05 points or 0.69% at 9884.15.

Live Market- Sensex slipped 70 points, Nifty below 9,500, Stock Option Tips

Market today opened negative bais, the Sensex fell over 70 points and the NSE Nifty trade down below 9,500 mark ahead of F&O expriy. Today, the global market is getting mixed business, tomorrow June contract expiry added to the downward move. 

Live Market- The BSE Sensex down 52.72 points or 0.17% at 30905.53, it was touched a high of 31,000.48 and touch a low of 30,876.25. The NSE Nifty Index decline 8.20 points or 0.09% at 9503.20, it was touched a high of 9,522.50 and touch a low of 9,479.80. 

BSE Sectorial indices led by consumer durables, FMCG, capital goods, and healthcare stocks were down trends, falling by up to 8.7 percent. 

Global markets Hong Kong's was declined 0.58 percent while Shanghai lower 0.13 percent in early trade today. Japan Nikkei fall in 0.29 percent. 

Vijaya Bank, OBC, Andhra Bank, Syndicate Bank, Escorts, Berger Paints, Bajaj Finance, DHFL and LIC Housing fell 1-2 percent whereas Jaiprakash Associates, Jaypee Infra, Adani Enterprises, Videocon Industries, Fortis Healthcare and Dish TV gained 1-15 percent.

30 May Tuesday Sensex hits record high,Nifty trade range bound

The benchmark indices traded with moderate gains in early morning trade after a bit of initial volatility. At 10.30 am, the BSE Sensex was trading up 7.40 points at 31,116.68, while the Nifty-50 index was down 5.60 points at 9,599.30. Hopes of arrival of monsoon in time, aided small gains on the exchanges. 

The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was up 0.03%, while the BSE Small-Cap index declined 0.28%, underperforming the Sensex. The markets breadth, showing the overall health of the market, were negative. 

On the BSE, there were 1,240 declines against 840 advances and a total of 103 shares were unchanged. 

Aurobindo Pharma adevancd 8 percnet to Rs. 555 after the company reported consolidated net profit of Rs. 532.45 cr, in Q4FY17, down 4.03% from Rs 554.77 cr, a year ago. Cement stocks were mixed. ACC tanked 1.04%, Ambuja Cements fell 0.42% and Shree Cement edged 0.28% lower, while Grasim Industries advanced 1.12% and UltraTech Cement rose 0.13% higher. 

Overseas, Asian stocks registered a mixed trend. U.S stock markets were shut yesterday, 29 May 2017 for the Memorial Day holiday.

Sensex, Nifty open higher opening trade on positive macro data

The benchmark indices opened on Monday, 15 May 2017, on a higher note on positive macro data unveiled by the government on Friday. A missile experimentation by North Korea on Sunday also kept traders on verge.

At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading 122.42 points higher at 30,310.57 while the NSE Nifty-50 index was ruling at 9,438.60, up 37.70 points. Among broader markets, BSE Mid-cap index gained 0.77%, whereas Small-cap was up 0.7% in the early hours of today. The market breadth was a little bit narrow since 1,293 shares were advanced while 692 shares declined, and 97 shares were unaffected.

RIL, Aurobindo Pharma and Infosys Ltd, Cipla Ltd, and Wipro were losing splendor, while Tata Steel, Dr Reddy’s Lab, Grasim, HDFC, ICICI Bank, ONGC and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the major gainers on both the indices in the morning hours.

Many companies are supposed to announce their earnings this week, out of which Vedanta Ltd, JK Tyre, Colgate Palmolive, Bata India and Kajaria Ceramics are a few ones among us, that are scheduled to post their March-quarter earnings today.

The rupee, the domestic currency has opened higher by 18 paise at 64.12 per USD against its last closing of 64.30.

Nifty over 9200, Sensex opens higher; Infosys up 1%, Elite Investment Advisory

The Benchmark indices opened Tuesday on a flattish note increasing crude oil prices as the investors await the March-quarter earnings results. Domestic exchanges bucked slow trend in most of Asian markets. I.T and realty stocks led gains. 

At 10.10 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 29,695.74 up 120 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 9,206.85 up 25.40 points. BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap gained 0.06% and 0.69%, each. On the BSE, 1161 shares advanced and 422 shares declined and a total of 85 shares were unchanged. Infosys, Tata Motors, ONGC, Maruti and Dr Reddy Lab’s were the top gainers on BSE Sensex, whereas Mahindra & Mahindra , Bajaj Auto, HUL, and Reliance were the top losers in the morning hours. 

Infosys Ltd gained over 1 per cent on the rising rupee sentiment. TCS, Wipro were also doing well in the early morning trade. 

US stocks closed partially higher yesterday, 10 April 2017, despite geopolitical worries while investors were looking ahead to the start of earnings season.

Sensex falls 150 pts on global cues, Nifty at 9230 levels

Indian  share markets have opened the Friday on a negative note tracking Asian cues. At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading down by 80.48 points at 29,846.86 while the NSE Nifty was trading down by 27.75 points at 9234.20. The BSE Mid Cap index and BSE Small Cap index have opened the day down by over 0.1% each. 

Reliance, Adani ports Sun Pharma, Power Grid and Tata Motors were losers on BSE Sensex while Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, ONGC were the top gainers in the morning hours. 

Meanwhile, on Thursday, FPIs bought shares valued Rs 142.68 crore, while DIIs sold shares of Rs 205.64 crore, as per BSE data. 

Rupee on Thursday soared to a near twenty month highs of 64.52, opening at 64.61, down 9 paise from yesterday’s close. 

Oil prices rose above 2% on today after the U.S. launched dozens of cruise missiles at an airbase in Syria. Brent crude futures soared to USD 56.08 per barrel. WTI crude futures also rose by over 2%, to a high of USD 52.94 a barrel before moving back to be up 1.8% at USD 52.61.

31 March Friday Market Live- Nifty holds 9160, Sensex Opens Flat

Key benchmark indices were trading marginally lower in early trade on Friday amid muted global cues. investors remained cautious awaiting new GST rules which will be finalized by the Council later today. 

At 10.15 am, the barometer index, the BSE Sensex, was down 38.77 points or 0.13% at 29,608.65. The Nifty50 index was currently down 9.50 points or 0.10% at 9,164.25. 

Reliance, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and ONGC were the top gainers, whereas ICICI Bank, HDFC, HDFC Bank, and Wipro were the biggest laggards. 

Asian shares were mixed with U.S. dollar extending its overnight gains today on cues of strong US economic growth, while the euro inched up after slipping overnight on data suggesting slowing growth in Europe.

Sensex up 100 points, Nifty reclaims 9,050 levels on positive Asian cues.

Benchmark indices edged higher on Thursday’s in early trade on positive Asian stocks. At 10.15 am, the barometer index, the BSE Sensex, was up 100 points or 0.34% at 29,267.71. The Nifty 50 index was up 26.25 points or 0.30% at 9,057.71. 

In the broader market, the S&P BSE Midcap rose 0.68% and the S&P BSE Smallcap indices rose 0.78% each. Overseas, Asian stocks were trading higher focusing on a crucial congressional vote on US healthcare reform later in the day. U.S stocks rebounded yesterday, 22 March 2017 posting strong gains. 

The NSE on Wednesday 22 March 2017 introduced futures and options contracts in 15 individual securities, which will be available for trading from March 31, 2017.

21 March Sensex trades higher, Nifty holds above 9,100, Stock Advisory Company

Indian share markets have opened the day with the positive bias. At 10:10 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 29,523, up 4.35 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 9,130, up 3.25 points. The BSE Mid Cap index opened flat while BSE Small Cap index opened down by 0.1%. ITC was up 1%, making them the top gainer, while Dr Reddy Lab was down 2%, shedding the most on the Sensex. Idea Cellular extended losses and dipper over 3% to Rs 93 on the BSE. 

Meantime, FPIs on Monday, 20 March 2017, bought equities worth Rs 56.67 crore, while domestic investors turned net sellers and sold equities of Rs 536 crore. D-Mart parent Avenue Supermarts has listed its shares on Exchanges today. The D-Mart IPO, the recent biggest one that hit the market, was subscribed more than 104 times earlier this March. 

Overseas, Asian shares edged higher on less hawkish Fed Reserve policy line. The main US stock indexes closed lower yesterday, 20 March 2017 for the third consecutive day of losses.

Sensex, Flat ahead of Fed Result, Nifty hits 9100, Stock Investment Advisory

Indian share markets have opened the trading day, Wednesday, on flat note ahead of outcome of the Federal Reserve policy meeting which concludes later in the day. At 10:15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 29,498, up 55.80 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 9,103,95, up 16.95 points. The BSE Mid Cap index opened flat while BSE Small Cap index both have opened the day up by 0.2%.

Asian stocks edged lower as investors took profits before a US central bank policy meeting that could hint how much monetary tightening to expect during the remaining of the year, with an immediate rate increase fully priced in by markets.

IT stocks TCS and Infosys were the top losers on both the indices, while Adani Ports, Reliance, Idea Cellular and Bank of Baroda were the top gainers on both the indices.

BOND MARKETS RISE TWO-FOLD THIS WEEK - 21 Jan 2017

Indian firms mopped up as much as Rs. 8900 crore this third week January, through private placement as compared to Rs 4,200 crore last week, as per data by Bloomberg. Power Finance Corpn Ltd. was the biggest borrower, followed by IDBI Bank Ltd. and HDFC Ltd. IDBI Bank has mopped up Rs 1,000 crore through private placement of Basel-III compliant bonds.

IDBI will use the funds raised to reinforce its capital adequacy. Analysts are of view that a decelerate in fund raising activity next week as investors await more cues from the forthcoming Budget on February 1, and the RBI’s monetary policy on February 7.
