27 April Thursday Sensex, Nifty trade lower, Markets snap 3-day rally ahead of F&O expiry

investment advisory The benchmark indices on Thursday opening were trading lower on negative global cues. At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex, was trading down 63.43 points or 0.21% at 30,069.92. The NSE Nifty was trading down 15.35 points or 0.16% at 9,336.50. In the broader market, the BSE Mid-cap index added 0.7% and the BSE Small-cap index added 0.08% each. 

The market is expected to be volatile as traders roll over positions in F&O segment from the near month April 2017 series to May 2017 series. The near month April 2017 derivatives contract ceases today, 27 April 2017. 

Some buying trend is observed in Healthcare, IT and Automobiles indices, while Telecom, Energy, Bankex and Finance indices are showing weakness on BSE. Infosys Ltd, Tata Motors, Cipla, Kotak Bank and are among the majors, whereas ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and Lupin are losing splendor on the NSE. 

Meanwhile, the rupee cherished by 6 pais
e to 64.05 at open against its previous day’s close of 64.11. The domestic currency had made stronger to 63.93 a dollar, its highest since August 2015 in intraday trade yesterday.

Sensex falls 150 pts on global cues, Nifty at 9230 levels

Indian  share markets have opened the Friday on a negative note tracking Asian cues. At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading down by 80.48 points at 29,846.86 while the NSE Nifty was trading down by 27.75 points at 9234.20. The BSE Mid Cap index and BSE Small Cap index have opened the day down by over 0.1% each. 

Reliance, Adani ports Sun Pharma, Power Grid and Tata Motors were losers on BSE Sensex while Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, ONGC were the top gainers in the morning hours. 

Meanwhile, on Thursday, FPIs bought shares valued Rs 142.68 crore, while DIIs sold shares of Rs 205.64 crore, as per BSE data. 

Rupee on Thursday soared to a near twenty month highs of 64.52, opening at 64.61, down 9 paise from yesterday’s close. 

Oil prices rose above 2% on today after the U.S. launched dozens of cruise missiles at an airbase in Syria. Brent crude futures soared to USD 56.08 per barrel. WTI crude futures also rose by over 2%, to a high of USD 52.94 a barrel before moving back to be up 1.8% at USD 52.61.

16 March Nifty hits record high, Sensex gains 169 points, Elite Investment Advisory

Indian markets have opened the trading Thursday on higher note tracking the global markets. Investors cheered as Federal Reserve Chair person Janet Yellen made the well expected move of increased rates by 25 base points. Asian markets are also higher today after the Federal Reserve raised rates. 

At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading up by 169.25 points at 29,567.36, while the NSE Nifty is trading up by 56.90 points at 9141.70. The BSE Mid Cap index opened up by 0.7%, while BSE Small Cap index opened up by 0.8%. Adani Ports, ONGC, HUL, Tata Motors and L&T were the biggest movers on the BSE Sensex while , Bharti Airtel, HeroMoto Corp and HDFC Bank were the top losers.

09 Feb Sensex opens higher, Nifty below 8,800, Elite Investment Advisory

Stock markets in India have opened the trading day, Thursday, on a firm note. At 10.15am the BSE Sensex is trading at 28,337 up 57 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8781.55 up 11.85 points. A total of 40 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high today, while 2 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. 

Street also looked out for some major companies to announce their Quarter-3 earnings during the day. A total of 268 companies are expected to report their Q3 results during the day including SAIL, BPCL, Power Grid, Lupin, etc. Moreover, Reserve Bank yesterday held repo rates at 6.25%. 

Adani Ports, HeroMoto Corp, PowerGrid and Axis Bank were the top movers on BSE Sensex while Asian Paints, HUL and Maruti Suzuki were suffered..
