Market falls in early trade, Nifty near 10,300, Sensex down 1004 Pts:

Sensex down Key benchmark indices fell in the opening trades on Tuesday, amid global sell-off in equities with Sensex crashing over 1000 points and Nifty erasing over 330 points. Huge selling pressure erupted in the Indian equities market, as the two key indices BSE Nifty and Sensex opened around 3% lower. Asian shares continue to register selling pressure following Wall Street’s biggest fall since 2011 as investors’ confidence in factors underpinning a bull-run in markets. The BSE Sensex was trading at 33,635 down 1,221 points, while broader Nifty 50 index was ruling at 10,327 down 339 points. Both indices, however, recovered marginally as trade progressed. The heavyweight shares such as HDFC, ICICI Bank, ITC, RIL, L&T, Tata Motors, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, State bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, TCS, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank and Mahindra and Mahindra contributed heavily in the Sensex declines.

25 Jan Sensex, Nifty trade lower, PSU banks fall, Maruti Suzuki rise:

Indian share markets opened little higher with Sensex and Nifty rising high in opening trade on Thursday but both the key indices soon.. 


Shares of Maruti Suzuki gained 0.4% to Rs. 9463.55 ahead of its Q3 earnings due later in the day, while Shares of PSU banks traded mixed since a profit booking was emerged after yesterday’s surge ahead of FM Arun Jaitley detailing about Rs 2.11 lakh cr, PSU bank recap plan. Shares of the UCO Bank rose over 6% while the stock of Biocon slipped nearly 5% after the company reported a drop of 46% in the net profit to Rs 92 crore. 

Shares of Dr Reddy’s Lab and UPL will be closely watched ahead of their respective Q3 earnings. Other top companies which are also announcing their respective Q3 results include LIC Housing Finance, Ajanta Pharma, Future Jindal Steel & Power, Tata Coffee, L&T Finance Holdings, Avenue Supermarts and Shriram City Union Finance.

Sensex rises 143 points, Nifty near 10,500, RIL, SBI: India’s share markets extended gains to open higher on Wednesday on positive global cues, with Sensex & Nifty inching up by 0.3 percent.

The BSE Sensex was trading 143 points at a high of 33,955.21 and NSE Nifty added 51.65 points to mark the day’s high at 10,493.85. Shares of Reliance Industries, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI, Yes Bank, HUL, Tata Steel were the major gainers among the Sensex stocks while Infosys, Dr Reddy’s, HDFC Bank, ONGC, Asian Paints, Tata Motors slipped upto 2 percent. 

The heavyweight stocks such as Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, TCS, ITC, SBI, Larsen and Toubro contributed the most to the Sensex gains. Metal stocks continued to keep up momentum on the back of rising global commodity prices. The Nifty Metal index advanced 0.8 percent in early trade, led by over 1 percent rise in shares of Vedanta Limited and Tata Steel Limited.

Sensex, Nifty extend gains, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors shares gain



Sensex & Nifty opened on a higher note for the second straight day on Friday. The BSE Sensex was up 249.49 points at 33,198.70. 

The NSE Nifty 50 index was up 83.30 points at 10,250 in later morning hours. Shares of Tata Motors rose 1.7%, Vedanta up 1.6%), Marut Suzuki up 1.4%, IndusInd Bank rose 1.36% and United Phosphorus Ltd gained 1.3% becoming the top gainers on Nifty50, whereas Infratel, Eicher Motors, Asian Paints, NTPC and Ambuja Cement were the top losers in today’s trade. 

Shares of Jet Airways declined about 4% after the company posted a 91 percent fall in its July-September net profit to Rs.50.00 crore.

Morning Update- Sensex and Nifty opened marginally higher on Tuesday following an upsurge in the US markets. At 10.25 a.m., the BSE index Sensex was trading up 129 points at 33,488 levels and the NSE index 50 Nifty was up 36.95 points at 10,335.70. 

The Indian rupee was being traded at 65.09 against the U.S dollar in early trade. Stock in Action: Shares of L&T Finance Holdings fell over 3% after 1.9% of the company’s equity shares changed hands in a block deal on the counter.

The key benchmark indices extended losses with Sensex lost 125 points to hit the day’s low of 32,816 levels while the NSE Nifty dropped 44 points to mark a day’s low of 10,142.55 at 10.45 hours on Wednesday.

Sun Pharma was the biggest loser on Sensex after the company reported a decline of 59.19% in the consolidated net profit to Rs 912.12 cr for the quarter ended on 30 Sept 2017 YoY basis.

Stock in Actions:- AkzoNobel India has said it will sell its specialty chemicals biz as a going concern to an affiliate of the AkzoNobel Group-NV Netharlands for Rs 320 crore. Larsen & Toubro (L&T): Schneider Electric SE, the French industrial multinational together with its consortium partner Temasek, has in business with L&T to acquire its electric and automation division for Rs 15,000-Rs 17,000 cr. Glaxo Smith Kline has reported 4.73% rise in net profit at Rs.192.41 cr for the Q2 ended Sept 30, 2017-18. 

The company had posted net profit of Rs .183.72 cr in the same period of previous year. Reliance Communications is re-negotiating its deal with Canadian investment fund Brookfield along with other prospective buyers for a stake in its tower unit.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on Thursday after closing at a record high in the previous session. The Indian rupee opened higher against the USD.

At 10.55 am, the BSE Sensex traded lower by 73.29 points, to 32,969.21, while the Nifty fell 8.85 points to close at 10,286.50. Shares of SBI and PNB hit a fresh record high, rising about 7.79% to Rs 351.3 and 14.55% to Rs 231.45 respectively. Other PSU bank stocks which also rallied include Indian Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India Canara Bank, Bank of India, OBC, IDBI Bank and Syndicate Bank.

JP Group stocks fell after the Supreme Court has extended the deadline for Jaypee Associates Ltd to deposit Rs. 2,000 crore to cover its liability towards those who bought homes in projects of its subsidiary Jaypee Infratech Ltd.

Tata Communications Ltd fell 4% to Rs. 688 after it has reported a loss of Rs. 128.55 crore against a net profit of Rs. 267.65 crore that was in the corresponding quarter last year.
HCL Infosystems Ltd fell 4% to Rs. 46.85 after the company announced its net loss for the quarter widened to Rs. 455.57 cr from Rs. 37.13 cr a year ago period.

Rupee Watch: The Indian rupee opened at 64.80/USD and was being traded at 64.74 V/s the dollar, up 0.25% from its last close of 64.90.

Shares of auto firms were trading higher in early trade, Monday, due to Indian car companies sounded relieved after the GST Council has raised the vehicle cess on Saturday, by less than the maximum possible, though luxury auto companies were more cautious in their assessment of the new rates. 
In the early hours today, the Nifty Auto index was trading 0.62% up at 10,846 while Tata Motors DVR was up 1.24%, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) was up 0.86% and Maruti Suzuki BSE 1.03 % rose 0.72%.

Stock in News: Sensex slips over 200 Pts, Nifty decline 9850, Investment Stock Advisory


NSE has announced on Monday, that it will remove three companies viz. ACC Ltd, Tata Power, Bank of Baroda from its broad Nift50 index. NSE added Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL), UPL Ltd and Bajaj Finance to the index. The changes will be effective on Sept 29. 

Shares of Bank of Baroda, ACC Ltd and Tata Power fell between 1 to 2%, while HPCL gained 2.3% and UPL rose 1.1%, while Bajaj Finance slipped 1.8%. 

In the morning hours on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex opened lower against the previous session’s closing. The NSE Nifty also fell. The shares of Lupin and Tata Steel Ltd rose, whereas the shares of , Sun Pharma, HUL and NTPC fell.

Shares of Infosys fell nearly 13 percent to close at Rs. 923.50, about 10 percent lower than the previous session’s closing, due to Infosys chief executive Vishal Sikka’s resignation, which sent the stock tumbling. But at the same time, Indian indexes were headed for their sixth weekly gain in seven, although they remain below the record highs hit on 2 August. Infosys’ rivals TCS and Tech Mahindra gained, rising over 2.5% each. Banking sector shares have also been big drag on the indexes. 

August 18, Friday can be seen as a very poor day for the markets as the major indices Sensex and Nifty could not even touch their previous closing level. The Sensex closed down by 270.78 pts at 31,524.68, while the Nifty also lower by 66.75 pts at 9,837.40. With the negative breadth floating on market, 1,003 shares advanced, against a decline of 1,527 shares and 124 shares were unaffected. Live Market- 16 June Sensex Nifty Marginally up, Stock Advisory Company

Sensex hits record high, Nifty gained 32 points at 9,542

The benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty touched their respective record highs on Friday’s trade of the June series. At 10.15 am, The BSE Sensex rallied near 124.29 points to hit its new high of 30,874, while the broader Nifty-50 gained 32.60 points to touch its fresh high of 9,542.35. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap and the BSE Smallcap indices gained over 1.27 percent each. 

Tata Steel, Hindalco and Asian Paints were the top gainers on Nifty and added up to 2 percent. Nifty FMCG and Nifty Metals were the leading sectoral indices which gained 1 percent each. 

Cipla was the major loser shedding over 3 percent after the company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 61.79 cr for the Q4FY17. The company had reported net loss of Rs 92.83 Cr, in the corresponding quarter last year. 

Maruti Suzuki hits Rs 7,000 mark first time, the stock gained over 33 percent so far this year. IOC Ltd fell 3 percent to Rs 425.90. It reports that the company’s Q4 profit rose 85% to Rs 3,721 Cr, boosted by higher refinery margins.

The Key benchmark indices were trading with small loses early morning trade on negative Asian stocks, while corporate earnings and GST rate speculations and good monsoon forecast capped the losses. Subsequently at 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading up 46.93 points or 0.15% at 30,629.53 and the NSE Nifty index was also up 2.90 points or 0.03% at 9,515.15. The broader BSE Midcap index and Smallcap index were trading up 0.22% and 0.18%, respectively. 

Mahindra and Mahindra, TCS, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank gained the most on BSE Sensex while Bhari Airtel Ltd, Dr Reddy's, ITCand L&T suffered the most. 

Sobha Developers gained 7.38% after the company reported 70% increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 47.00 crore for the quarter ended March. The net profit of the company stood at Rs 27.6 crore in the year-ago period, as reported by the company. 

About 50 companies are going to announce their earnings today which includes the majors like Hindustan Unilever Ltd, JSW Steel, Indian Oversea Bank, Allahabad Bank, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, United Breweries and MRPL. 

Asian markets were almost lower today on muted loom from Wall Street despite political and legal chaos prevailing US President Donald Trump.

Sensex scales near 30,300, Nifty hits 9,440, Metal stocks gained

The benchmark indices edged higher in early trade, hitting a fresh record highs on track of track Asian stocks stability. At 10.18 am, the BSE Sensex was trading up 79.39 points or 0.26% at 30,327.56, while the NSE Nifty-50 index rose 32.65 points or 0.35% at 9,439.95. Realty and metal stocks gained. Broader markets also kept their record highs with BSE Mid-cap index rising up 0.58% and Small-cap trading 0.46% higher. 

Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank gained mostly on BSE Sensex, on the other hand, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Bharti Airtel, and NTPC were losing sheen. 

Many companies are going to announce their quarter fourth results today including Asian Paints, Gujarat Pipavav, Arvind and Glenmark Pharma. HCL Tech rose after posting stellar Q4 results. 

Meantime, rise in oil prices of more than 3% strengthened by the biggest week drop in U,S inventories so forth this year lifted the global market response, led by the energy stocks. Asian stocks advanced today’s early trade, with a pick up from a record high close on MSCI's global stocks after robust oil price gains buoyed energy stocks globally.
