Share markets opened higher on Thursday with Sensex & Nifty beginning in the green ahead of the expiry of Future & Option contracts today. BSE Sensex traded higher by 0.05 points to 33,911.86, while the NSE Nifty-50 rose 7.05 points to 10,497.80 in the later morning hours. 

Shares of State bank of India, Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, Dr Reddy’s, Coal India, HDFC, HDFC Bank and Hindustan Unilever gained up to 1 percent while Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp, TCS, Bajaj Auto and Kotak Mahindra Bank lost up to 0.75%. 

The stock of RCom rose 19.86% to the day’s peak of Rs 34.4 on NSE while it rose 15.65% to the day’s high of Rs 33.24 on BSE. 

Metal stock rise on NSE, the Nifty Metal Index rose 1 percent in early trade tracking higher global commodity prices. Global copper prices rose overnight to their maximum levels in 3 years following strong import numbers from China. Shares of Hindustan Copper Limited rose over 5 percent.

Sensex, Nifty open marginally higher, Infosys shares rise

Sensex, Nifty open marginally higher, Infosys shares rise: The BSE index Sensex was up 31.91 points at 33,650.50 and the NSE Nifty50 index was up 8.90 points at 10,379.15.Shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Coal India, Reliance Industries, Dr Reddy’s Lab, ITC, NTPC, Infosys gained up to 1.7% while Axis bank and HDFC dragged the most, lost up to 1.2 percent each. The heavyweight shares of Reliance, ITC and Infosys contributed the most to the Sensex gains, whereas a fall in HDFC twins and Axis Bank cut off most of the gains. Shares of SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd rose 2.5 percent to Rs. 111.65 after its subsidiary SREI Equipment Finances files draft red herring prospects with regulator Sebi. The initial offer consists fresh issue of shares worth Rs. 1,100 crore and offer for sale of up to 43.86 lakh shares by SREI Infra. The Indian rupee depreciated 10 paise to 64.51 against the USD in early trade. Earlier yesterday, it has gained 9 paise to conclude at a fresh two-month high against the US dollar.

Sensex and Nifty are trading in the red following weakness in several sectors. Metal and PSU Bank index lose steam, while Bank stocks trades in green.

Bharti Telecom will acquire 18,47,10,183 equity shares of Bharti Airtel from Indian Continent Investment Limited (ICIL), at price of Rs 417.35 share apiece.

 The proposed merger between Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) and Shriram Group has been sapped on differences over valuation.

Bharti Infratel Ltd has decided to explore and evaluate acquisition of stake in Indus Towers with the aim of making it a subsidiary or wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.

Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) to issue tier-I bonds worth 5 billion, with an option for over-subscription of up to 5 billion rupees.


Reliance Communications Ltd has presented a new plan to its lenders, offering controlling stake in the company. The company further has offered to convert debt of up to 71 billion rupees into equity

Weekly Update- Indian stocks logged strong gains in the week ended Friday, 15 Sept 2017 led by gains in pharma and auto stocks. The BSE Small-Cap and BSE Mid-Cap indices outperformed the Sensex during the week. While the BSE MidCap advanced 217.99 points or 1.38% to settle at 15,972.74, the SmallCap index gained 362.56 pts or 2.22% to settle at 16,687.76.
In the week ended the Sensex rose 585.09 pts or 1.85 percent to settle at 32,272.61. The NSE Nifty index rose 150.60 points or 1.52 percent to settle at 10,085.40.
All through the previous five days, the Sensex had gained 524.44 points on solid global cues on receding concerns on North Korea and sustained buying by domestic investors.
On the macro front, the yearly rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, figured provisionally at 3.24% for August 2017, corresponding to 1.88% in July 2017 and 1.09% in August 2016, as per data which was announced on Friday, 14 Sept 2017.

Sensex pares gains, Nifty open above 9,150 on positive global cues

The Key benchmark indices on Friday edged higher tracking positive trend seen in Asian markets . At 10:15 am, the BSE Sensex was ruling at 29,487 up 61.68 points, while the broader Nifty-50 was trading at 9,155.35, up 19 points. In the broader market, the BSE Mid-cap index and the BSE Small-cap index added 0.5% each. 

Stocks of Reliance Industries went up 2%, GAIL India rose 1% and Bharti Airtel gone up 0.9% contributed most to the gains on Sensex, whereas Sun Pharmaceuticals were down 2%, Cipla Ltd down 0.7% and TCS Ltd down 0.5% in the morning hours. Bharti Infratel is the major Nifty gainer, is trading higher by 3.25% at Rs 353.85 per share, while Sun Pharma is the top Nifty loser, trading lower by 1.55% at Rs 645.8 per share. 

There are some companies reporting their March quarter earnings, which include ACC Ltd, HDFC Bank, Tata Metaliks, among others.

5 April Nifty down 5%, Sensex falls to hold 30,000 level, Stock Advisory Company


The benchmark indices began the trading day, Wednesday, under volatility. At 10.05 am, the BSE Sensex, was down 41.70 points or 0.14% at 29,868.52. The NSE Nifty50 index was down 4.75 points or 0.05% at 9,233.10. The Sensex failed to hold at 30000 level which it had crossed at the start of session. 

The BSE Mid-Cap index was up 0.35%. The BSE Small-Cap index advanced 0.72%. Both these indices outperformed the Sensex. 

The overall market health was strong. On the BSE, 1,202 shares rose and 473 shares declined. A total of 71 shares were unchanged. 


Cipla, RIL, NTPC, Tata Steel were the top gainers while HDFC, Dr Reddy's, ITC and Asian Paints were the biggest laggards on BSE Sensex. 


U.S share markets closed with minute gains on Wednesday, 4 April 2017, ahead of a key meeting between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Jinping on 6 & 7 April 2017.

22 March Sensex weak over 200 points, Nifty tests 9,040, Elite Investment Advisory

Benchmark indices on Wednesday were trading down in early trade tracking negative trend seen in Asian markets At 10.15 am, the barometer index, the BSE Sensex, was down 244 points or 0.83% at 29,241.38. The Nifty50 index was down 79.80 points or 0.87% at 9,041.70. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Midcap index shed nearly 1%, while S&P BSE Smallcap index was down 0.5%. The drop in both these indices was higher than the Sensex's decline in percentage terms. 

Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank, and Bharti Airtel were the top losers on Sensex dipping up to 3% on the BSE. Meantime, shares of Avenue Supermarts, the D-mart chain, shed over 1% to Rs 625 after a bumper listing in the preceding session. Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors edged down down 2.72%, down 1.73% and 1.27% respectively from the Sensex pack. 

Oil prices dipped today, since s rising crude stocks in the U.S underscored an ongoing global fuel supply overhang in spite of an OPEC-led effort to cut output.

Sensex at 27235, Nifty ends below 8400, Stock Advisory Company Indore

The equity benchmark indices settled the Tuesday's trade in red tracking European markets which fell ahead of Theresa May's speech on Brexit. The BSE  Sensex closed the day at 27,235, down 52 points, while Nifty50 ended below its crucial 8400 mark, down 15 points.  

BSE Smallcap index outshined to end 0.3% higher, while BSE midcap index closed. The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, turned negative. On the BSE, 1342 shares rose and 1,377 shares declined. A total of 320 shares were unchanged. 

NTPC, Asain, Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp and HUL were top gainers while Reliance, Coal India, Adani Ports, ONGC and HDFC were losers in the Sensex.
