3 March (Monday) Nifty opens fresh record high, Sensex above 140 points

The benchmark indices on Monday edged higher in early trade tracking positive Asian peers. At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was up 146.73 points or 0.50% at 29,767.23. The Nifty-50 index was up 34.35 points or 0.38% at 9,208.20. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap and the S&P BSE Smallcap indices added 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively. 

All sectoral indices have opened the day in positive note, except reality stocks. The automobiles sector and banking, and oil & gas sector leading the pack of gainers. The rupee is trading at 64.84 to the US Dollar. 

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) extended gains to touch its fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,380 on the BSE after its telecom venture Reliance Jio extended prime membership for users by 15 days. 

In the economic front, the GST Council on Friday cleared rules on the 5 aspects of the new indirect tax rules and tentatively endorsed four sets of norms.

17 Jan Tuesday Nifty hits 8423; Markets open on a positive note

Indian stock markets have opened Tuesday trading day marginally higher note on positive corporate earnings and mixed Asian market trends. At 10:15 am, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 27,314, up 27.67 points (+0.10%), while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 8,422.90, up 10.10 points (+0.12%). The BSE Mid Cap index and BSE Small Cap index both have went up by 0.42% and 0.56% respectively. 

All sectoral indices have opened the trading day in green with PSU, power & FMCG stocks seeing maximum buying interest. In the economic headwinds, the GST Council held yesterday broke a deadlock over the seemingly stubborn issue of tax administration over tax payers and broadly agreed to roll out the GST from July 1 onward, in place of the earlier deadline of April 1st.

11 Jan Wednesday Sensex reclaims 27,000, Elite Investment Advisory Indore

On Wednesday, the Indian market has opened higher note tracking Asian market cues. At 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 27,050, up 150 points, and the Nifty was ruling at 8,340, up 52 points. Among broader markets, BSE Midcap rose at 0.64% and BSE Smallcap up at 0.59%. Tata Steel, ONGC, Dr Reddy's Labs, HDFC bank, Infosys and ICICI Bank are top gainers in the Sensex. 

There is a mixed outlook on Indian economy, that the World Bank has cut India’s GDP to 7% from 7.6% in the current fiscal after considering the impact of demonetization

Meantime, International rating agency Moody’s Investors maintained a positive outlook on India and stated that beyond the short-term negative impact on growth, demonetization has the potential to lift up government revenues and give some fiscal space to sustain growth, if required.
