Indian stock markets have opened Tuesday trading day marginally higher note on positive corporate earnings and mixed Asian market trends.
At 10:15 am, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 27,314, up 27.67 points (+0.10%), while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 8,422.90, up 10.10 points (+0.12%). The BSE Mid Cap index and BSE Small Cap index both have went up by 0.42% and 0.56% respectively.
All sectoral indices have opened the trading day in green with PSU, power & FMCG stocks seeing maximum buying interest.
In the economic headwinds, the GST Council held yesterday broke a deadlock over the seemingly stubborn issue of tax administration over tax payers and broadly agreed to roll out the GST from July 1 onward, in place of the earlier deadline of April 1st.
