Indian stock markets on Tuesday opened marginally higher. At 10:15 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 27,239, up 121.76 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 8,433.15, up 41.65 points. Both BSE Mid Cap index and BSE Small Cap index have opened the day up by 0.46% each.
The rupee is trading at 68.08 to the US dollar.
Sectoral indices have opened the day mixed with consumer durables and banking stocks seeing maximum buying interest. While, IT and FMCG stocks have opened the day in the red.
Regarding BSE’s IPO, it is reported that, the IPO has acquired over 50% subscription on Monday, the first day of the Rs. 12.4-billion offering.
